Safeguarding and welfare
At East Devon Shotokan Karate, the safeguarding and welfare of our students is a fundamental priority. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive training environment for children, young people, and adults across all our dojos.
As a collective of clubs affiliated with the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB), we adhere to the highest standards of safeguarding and welfare. Our instructors and clubs follow the KUGB Safeguarding Policy, which sets out clear guidance on best practice, responsibilities, and procedures for safeguarding within karate.
Being part of the KUGB also provides access to additional resources, training, and support to ensure safeguarding standards are consistently maintained across all clubs within East Devon Shotokan Karate.
